Long-Term Resiliency Funding for Disaster Recovery and Mitigation

The FloridaCommerce Office of Long-Term Resiliency is within the Division of Community Development and supports long-term recovery housing needs, infrastructure, and economic development in Florida communities impacted by disasters.

FloridaCommerce administers many U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grant programs which include Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) for Disaster Recovery and Mitigation. The Office of Long-Term Resiliency oversees CDBG-Disaster Recovery funding for hurricanes Hermine, Matthew, Irma and Michael as well as CDBG-Mitigation funding. CDBG-Mitigation funding helps communities harden infrastructure and critical facilities to prevent losses from future disasters. Rebuild Florida was created to brand Florida’s long-term recovery efforts from recent hurricanes.
